Asia Beer Championship

The 2022 Asia Beer Championship was judged in Singapore on 6th & 7th October with the winners announced at a LIVE AWARDS PRESENTATION at SEA Brew 2022 in Bangkok on 28th October

Supporting the rapidly developing beer culture throughout Asia, the Asia Beer Championship is an awards programme run by the industry for the industry.

The annual competition provides a trusted quality benchmark for consumers as well as independent feedback to the regions' brewers.

Who Can Enter?

From Jordan to Japan, the Asia Beer Championship is open for entry to any beer brewed commercially within Asia.

32 Competition Categories

Producers can enter any of the 32 different beer and cider style categories selected for this year's competition based on their popularity in the region.

Gold, Silver & Bronze Awards

The top 3 beers in each category will be awarded Gold, Silver & Bronze certificates respectively. All beers that reach a pre-determined quality level will receive a "Chairman's Selection" accolade.

Champion Trophies

Champion Brewery trophies are awarded to the most successful breweries in the competition plus the winners of each style category will enter a taste-off to determine the 2022 Champion Beer of Asia.

Trophies will also be awarded for the Champion Beer of Asia in the following categories: Wheat Beer, Lager, Champion Pilsner, Pale Ale, IPA & Cider.

International Standard Judging

The Asia Beer Championship Judging Panel will consist of professionally trained international brewers and qualified beer judges. Beers will be judged according to guidelines set by the Beer Judge Certification Program.

Expert Feedback

Benefit from independent expert feedback - the judges tasting notes for all entries will be returned to brewers to aid in the development of their recipes & processes.

International Recognition

A list of winners will be released international media publications and online industry and consumer platforms.

Awards Logo

Gold, Silver, Bronze & Chairman's Selection winners will be provided with Asia Beer Championship 2022 digital logo's to promote their success in the competition.

What is the Cost to Register?

The entry cost is US$95 per beer plus 4 x 330ml bottles/cans for judging samples. Bottles must be shipped (duty paid) to the competition organizers in Singapore by Friday 23rd September - they will remain in cold storage until judging takes place.

Our judging panel consists of experienced professional brewers and BJCP certified beer judges, ensuring expert assessment of all the beers entered into the Asia Beer Championship.
